Wines by Grape

Different grape varieties grow best in different climates, soil types and conditions.  Shiraz grows happily under the warm sun of Australia but would struggle in the cool air of England.  Similarly, like all fruits, different grape varieties have different characteristic flavours, which manifest differently when converted to wine.  Here you can get to know your different grape varieties... though be warned: the Place in which a grape is grown and what a wine maker does to that grape can mean that one Sauvignon Blanc wine tastes very very different to another!
