Coleridge Hill, Three Choirs Vineyard
The Three Choirs vineyards up in Gloucestershire are some of the most beautiful vineyards you'll find anywhere. They combine the beauty of a vineyard with the care of English gardening to create a very definitely English wine scene.
I'm proud to say that for one year I owned one vine at Three Choirs. My sister Alison bought it as part of a birthday present a few years back. That's the other thing about Three Choirs: this is an authentic commercial operation. In addition to their "Own a vine for a year" scheme, there is a hotel, restaurant, and cool little wine tasting paddles. In fact, those wine tasting paddles planted the first seeds in my mind for a wine tasting bar with a specialisation in English wine (check out additional images on this product to see me with the paddles I'm talking about).
Anyways... I digress! What about THIS wine. Coleridge Hill is a crisp, dry white wine with pleasing fruity qualities. A really great every day English.
Blend of Madeleine Angevine and Phoenix grape varieties.
