Created as a tribute to the legendary recording studio where Pink Floyd recorded The Wall, this wine embodies the spirit of Art de Vivre along the Mediterranean.
Vintage
The 2024 vintage in Provence was shaped by challenging climatic conditions, demanding constant care in the vineyard. May brought frost, July hail, and September a cool, rainy spell that slowed ripening. The result is wines that are fresh and aromatic, with natural acidity beautifully preserved. Their paler colour reflects a lower pH, but tastings reveal vibrant, dense aromas and a lively palate—flavours both saline and fruity, tangy yet smooth, and exceptionally easy to enjoy.
Terroir
Studio by Miraval is deeply marked by its proximity to the Mediterranean. Sea breezes and salt-kissed soils impart a distinctive character, finishing with a delicate, almost iodized touch.
Ageing
Each grape variety is carefully vinified by direct pressing. Cinsault and Tibouren rest in stainless steel vats, while Grenache and Rolle are partly vinified in ovoid tanks. The natural convection within these vessels keeps the lees in suspension, mirroring a gentle bâtonnage and lending structure and depth to the wine.
Tasting Notes
The wine reveals a luminous, pale pink hue with pastel highlights. Elegant and refined, the nose opens with delicate aromas of red berries and cherry blossom. The palate is lively and expansive, carrying flavours of blood orange and redcurrant, lifted by a mineral freshness and a subtle, appetizing bitterness. A long, graceful finish lingers with balance and finesse.
Food Pairing
Perfect as an aperitif, with charcuterie board or the fresh summer berry salad.
